Come join us to celebrate our 100-year Anniversary this Founder's Day Weekend - June 20th and 21st in Tunkhannock. On Friday, we will be hosting a free concert featuring the Idol Kings (link to FB page: https://www.facebook.com/almostjourney) from 6pm to 9pm in our lot on Tioga Street. Bring your lawn chair - and enjoy the tunes! There will also be food trucks and Triton Hose pizza for purchase. And we will end the night with a bang! There will be no parking on site - Parking is available at Triton Hose House uptown and there will be a shuttle service. Rain or shine event!
Then come back on Saturday for our 22nd Annual Classic Car Show! People from all over bring their cars for the day and Tioga is closed for 2 blocks. Event is 10am to 3pm - Shine only. And we will have a gift drawing for participating cars at 230pm. A little about Sherwood Chevrolet Buick GMC history: Founded in 1925 by George Sherwood, Walter Sherwood and Bob Horlacher - originally called Horlacher and Sherwood in Tunkhannock on the corner of Tioga and McCord Street with Chevrolet. Then over the years we've had Studebaker, Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Pontiac and GMC. We constructed a new building in 2014 at our current location and tore down the original 1925 building to make room for the car lot. We were able to save the cornerstone and its part of our showroom today. We have served numerous generations of customers and families with a team of dedicated people who love the business and providing for the community. We have always focused on a top-notch service department - with generations of talented people to keep your vehicle in tip top shape. We currently employ 2 World Class technicians who can tackle any problem. From Studebaker to EVs, World Wars, The Great Depression, recessions, COVID, strikes, shortages - we have stayed open through it all. By focusing on our customers, we hope to be here another 100 years and thank you all for your support.
